We finally did it.  We decided to cruise with Disney. We have previously cruised with Carnival and Royal Caribbean.  We have enjoyed our previous cruises, but, if I am being honest, I was bored.  The food was great on both, (we actually enjoyed the food on Carnival more), the entertainment was really good for one show on RC, (Saturday Night Fever).  Overall, our time on these other cruise lines was just ok.  We opted for other cruise lines simply because of the price.  Since we live close to New Orleans and Galveston, those ports are our first choice to cruise from.  Our other cruises traveled from these ports and that convenience made them a good choice for us.  Disney only sails from Galveston during the months of Nov-Jan.  In fact our sailing was the final one from Galveston until November 2018.  Future sailings in the month of January, on the Wonder, will be out of San Juan, this the reason we disembarked there.  It is referred to as a repositioning cruise.   I have said i

You know who Triton is, right?  He is the King, under the sea.  Ariel’s father.  You know, The Little Mermaid... Triton’s is on deck three and the first thing you see upon boarding the ship.  It was open for lunch when we boarded too.  We decided to try the buffet that day, but we did enjoy brunch here on one of our sea days.   Our second evening meal was delightful.  We were greeted again by all of the wait staff and lead to table 35.   The table was set with beautiful dishware and the entire dining room is stunning.  It is designed to make you feel as though you are truly “Under the Sea.”  Can you hear Sebastian singing yet?   This is a sconce from the dining room.  It was a little hard to photograph.   The mural on the wall was stunning. I know you have wondered, do adults have fun on a Disney Cruise?  Are there kids everywhere?  Can you get away from them?  Yes!  Yes, you can.  One such opportunity is an adult only dining experience in Palo. We were encouraged to book a brunch reservation by my sweet friend Kristen, and I am so glad we took her advice.  Dining in Palo isn’t included.  It is a $30 per person charge, plus tax and gratuity.  It was completely worth it. There is a menu, but the best part of the meal is the buffet portion.  You can help yourself to anything you want and the options are endless!  We were seated at a table near the windows and the view was amazing.  The restaurant is at the back (aft)  of the ship on the 10th deck.  There is a dress code so be aware men must wear a collared shirt and no flip flops are allowed.  I was allowed to wear my cute Mickey Mouse Croc flip flops though.  😍 Our server was Susanna and she was delightful.  She kept us laughing and made sure all of our ex
